Norma Jean Nash Anderton
Apr 27, 2018Born in Cleburne, TX on February 6, 1927, the daughter of the late Eugene S. Scheble Jr. and the late Fay (Howell) Scheble, she was raised and educated in Texas. She graduated from University of Texas in Austin, where she met her future husband, David. Norma was woman of artistic talent who loved to knit, quilt and sew; she also loved to travel throughout the United States and abroad. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Norma had a spirit as big as all of Texas. She often said "life is for living and candles are for burning." Her flame burned bright right till the end. Norma was predeceased by her husband David E. Nash and husband William A. Anderton as well as a son, Michael S. Nash. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law and a daughter and son-in-law, David Randall and Doreen Nash of Cromwell, CT, Stephen R. and Elizabeth Nash of Franklin, Tennessee, Paul N. and Laurie Nash of Ellington, CT and Nancy N. and John Banulski of West Simsbury, CT. She is also survived by her ten beloved grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her close friend Luda Yurkevych and her dog Holly also held a special place in her heart. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Norma's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
